Why Dr Dan Cyber?
Everyone says their different.... yeah so are we
We don't want the big guys - well not as clients but we'd like to partner with you!
As we said in our intro pages our focus in on non-profit, small and even some of the smaller mid-sized businesses. Those that can't afford the cybersecurity staffs and that don't understand cybersecurity or what it means to be compliant with the regulations. However, if you are a larger company and would like to help we would love your support. Please reach out and we can talk about how you can help support our organization.
That said, if you do fall in the category for a potential client, please give us a call, we would love to help. Compliance can seem very complicated but with our experienced staff we can help sort our your needs and help make sense of it all.
Mentoring - This is where we think we are really different!
Dr Dan has always loved to teach and help bring up the next generation of practitioners. In every field he worked in, he thought it made sense to bring the next group along with him.
In cybersecurity, he found it was even more challenging because he used to see LinkedIn job posts that would state entry-level positions requiring 5+ years of experience and certifications. So when he launched Dr Dan Cyber, LLC in 2023 he had decided he was going to do whatever he could to mentor those that were coming up behind him so that they could get that experience and work on certifications.
That's what we are trying to do. We will be working with the local community colleges and cybersecurity organizations to help mentor those just entering the workforce to help get them that foot in the door. That doesn't mean though that you will get inexperience when you hire us, that means you will get the experience along with an extra set of helping hands
A little more about us
Dr Dan Cyber, LLC is headquartered in Greenville, SC. The company was founded in 2023 by Dan Cullen, a cybersecurity professional with over 25 years of experience in Information Technology Management, Information Security Audit and Assurance, IT Risk Management and Governance Risk and Compliance and Cybersecurity.
Since the organization is starting to grow with the addition of former colleagues of Dan's who want to start to give back as well. Many have and will continue to have full and/or part-time roles but want to help mentor the next generation of cybersecurity practitioners. We are also growing through our mentorship program, before we have even advertised, we have had a handful of interested very talented individuals approach us. Finally, our company is seeing growth through our partnerships with our cybersecurity suppliers. Many of which will be advertised on our site very shortly.
